However, the Windemere seawall faced several critical issues:

  • Tieback Failure: The existing seawall was bowing out towards the bay due to failing tiebacks.
  • Corrosion: Inspections revealed severe corrosion in the tiebacks, compromising 50% of the reinforcing steel.
  • Sinkholes: The aging seawall had developed significant sinkholes along its length.

As a result, these problems not only threatened the structural integrity of the seawall but also posed risks to the environment and the safety of condominium residents. Fortunately, the rear of the structure allowed adequate access for our specialized repair equipment.
